Customize the connection page URL

Creating a custom connection URL allows you to use a link like share.yoursite.com instead of connect.goditto.com. Branding this URL makes it easier to remember how to connect and gives everyone a consistent experience.

There are two ways to point or send a subdomain to your custom Ditto connection page. You can forward your domain with or without masking. With masking, a user will never see connect.goditto.com and will only see your custom URL. Without masking, the subdomain simply redirects users to connect.goditto.com when they enter your URL. Both may not be available with your DNS provider.

Step 1 - Find your custom Ditto connection URL

To mask your connection URL, you will need your custom Ditto connection page URL. You can find this in the Ditto account portal under the Customization section.

Step 2 - Change your DNS settings

IMPORTANT

DNS changes should only be made by a professional. Ask your host for assistance if required.

Below are helpful links with instructions for changing your DNS settings. Instructions are specific to your DNS provider.

Step 3 - Add the URL to your Ditto account

Once you've changed your DNS settings, make sure you enter your newly created URL in your account portal. The URL is displayed to users as part of connection instructions in the Ditto Receiver applications and on room signs.
