While Ditto Connect and Ditto Receiver do require internet connectivity on your devices, it is not a fully cloud-based solution. Your devices will communicate with our servers only in order to configure the screen mirroring connection before it is made. The screen mirroring connection itself is a layer 2 communication that is made directly between your devices on the network, and screen mirroring data does not leave the local environment.
Digital Signage is distributed to your devices online using the Ditto Admin Portal. When enabled, Ditto Receiver will download your signage items and cache them locally on the receiver for display. This will ensure that any interruptions in the network connection do not also affect the display of pre-configured signage.
