How to share an Outlook or Google calendar as a digital signage item
You can share your Outlook or Google calendar as a digital signage item from the instructions below:
Note:
Outlook and Google calendars will be displayed for the entire month with these instructions. Sharing a single day or week from an Outlook or Google calendar is not currently available.
Sharing Outlook calendar
Step 1: Go to the Outlook office website and open the Calendar view.
Step 2: Click the Settings cog on the top right.
Step 3: Select "View all Outlook Settings" at the bottom to open this menu.
Step 4: Select "Calendar" > Shared "Calendars." Click "Publish" and you will see an HTML link.
Step 5: Open the Static Web URL layout and enter the HTML link into the URL box then select "Save Item."
Step 6: Once the item is finished building, please select "Back" and then select "Save List."
You are all set! Your Outlook calendar should now be displayed as a digital signage Item on your Ditto Receiver(s).
Sharing Google calendar
Step 1: On your computer, open Google Calendar.
Step 2: At the top right, click the Settings icon > "Settings."
Step 3: On the left, under "Settings for my calendars," click the name of the calendar you want to share.
Step 4: Under "Access permissions for events," check the box next to "Make available to Public."
Note:
The calendar must be made public to display as a digital signage item. If the calendar is not made public then it may not display correctly on the Ditto Receiver screen.
Step 5: Click "OK."
Step 6: Scroll down to "Public URL to this calendar" copy that link and paste it into the Digital signage Static Web URL layout.
Step 7: Once the item is finished building select "Back" then select "Save List."
You are all set! Your Google calendar should now be displayed as a digital signage Item on your Ditto Receiver(s).
