What is a Ditto Layout and how do I use it?

A Ditto Layout is a specific type of content you display with Ditto digital signage.

Layouts are templates included with Ditto so you can easily display beautiful signage content without the need for a graphic designer. Find and customize all Layouts inside the Ditto Account Portal.

Note

Before you begin using Layouts, you must create a List for your digital signage. Learn how to create your first Ditto digital signage List here.

How to access Ditto Layouts

You must add a Layout to a List before you can customize it. Here’s how:

Step 1

Log in to the Ditto Account Portal and click the Signage tab.

Step 2

Under “Signage Lists,” select the List that you want to add a Ditto Layout to.

Step 3

Select “New Item.”

Step 4

Ditto Layouts are listed here. Select the type of Ditto Layout you want to customize from the list.

You can also upload your own media to use as signage instead of using a Layout template. See how to add your own signage media here.

How to customize Ditto Layouts

Ditto Layouts are fully customizable to add your own branding, colors, images, videos and text. If you leave text blank in your Layout, the design will shift accordingly to accommodate the empty space.

In the Ditto Account Portal, navigate to the Signage tab.

Step 2

Under “Signage Lists,” select the List that contains the Ditto Layout you want to customize.

Step 3

Click the Actions icon (three vertical dots).

Step 4

Click “Edit.”

You will then be taken to the Layout editor, where you can customize the Ditto Layout.

Note

If adding your own media to a layout, you must upload and save your media before a preview will render in the Layout editor.
